Our Big Draw event started on Apple Day 2006 at Burwash. We set the simple task of offering every one a chance to draw an apple. I just found some pictures of that first Big Apple Draw.

Our 4 ft x 8 ft tree got covered with apples (probably around 40).

We had charcoal, pastels and pencil for people to play with.

I’ve saved the pictures from The Big Apple Draws 06, 07 & 08. In a tidy pile in our office, that has grown. Last year we had about 250 new drawing to add to the collection. We hang them up for inspiration on Apple Day. This year I think that we are going to have to start hanging them up sooner rather than later. The Big Apple Draw is happening on Saturday, October 10 at Providence as part of Burwash’s Apple Day and in affiliation with the National Campaign for Drawing.
