Labels tomorrow – We hope

June 30, 2008

The first lot of labels for our paint cans are to be delivered tomorrow. They were supposed to be delivered today along with another proof but the press was down  – all day.

We’ve look at what seems like hundreds of different combinations of adhesive, self adhesive, full wrap, no wrap. Full colour, 4 colour? Self adhesive or no adhesive. Prit stick, Bostick, Recycled 100gsm, 115gsm, 140gsm, matt, gloss. Die cut? or we cut.

We went for the die cut, it saves us cutting 800 (or more) slots around handles.  Self adhesive on some and we adhesive on others. Colour on some.

Tomorrow we are going to begin the wrapping and sticking process, times what seems like a gillion cans. Right now I’m just worried that the 2mm printing industry tolerance for trimming means that they’ll wrap properly.
