Interior Walls and Ceilings
Estate Emulsion is the paint finish that creates the signature look of Farrow & Ball. Suitable for use throughout the home on walls and ceilings, it has a chalky matt finish and great depth of colour. Available in 100ml (sample), 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Modern Emulsion is a high performance alternative to emulsion. It has a low sheen level but is washable and has excellent stain and scuff resistance. This finish is ideal for walls and ceilings in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, children’s rooms and other areas of intensive usage. Available in 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Interior Wood and Metal
Estate Eggshell is a durable eggshell finish that is easily wiped and washed clean. It is suitable for all interior woodwork and metal including radiators. Its low sheen level complements Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion. Available in 750 ml, 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Dead Flat is a traditional dead flat finish that is suitable for use on interior woodwork, plaster and metal surfaces, where an exceptionally matt, elegant finish is required. It is not suitable for use in kitchens or bathrooms, furniture or areas of heavy wear. Available in 750 ml, 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Dead Flat and Eggshell Varnishes Dead Flat Varnish creates a classic, matt appearance whilst Eggshell Varnish has a low sheen. Both are low odour varnishes ideal for interior bare wood and painted wood or metal surfaces. Dead Flat Varnish is wipeable and Eggshell Varnish is washable. Available in 750 ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Floor Paint is a hard-wearing paint that has a classic eggshell finish which will bring any interior wooden or concrete floor to life, including garages and workshops. It is not suitable for use on decking or any other exposed exterior floor. Available in 750 ml, 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Full Gloss is a traditional high gloss finish with a 95% sheen level. Extremely versatile and robust, it is suitable for both interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. Available in 750 ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Exterior Paints
Exterior Eggshell is suitable for use on softwood and hardwood, window frames, cladding and garden furniture, this finish is durable and flexible with a high resistance to flaking and peeling. It can also be used on railings, gates, guttering, furniture and other metal surfaces. Available in 750 ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Full Gloss A traditional high gloss with a 95% sheen level. Extremelyversatile and robust, it is suitable for both interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. Available in 750ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Exterior Masonry is a tough and hard-wearing paint that can be used on all masonry surfaces. It is available in over 100 colours, refer to the colour card for details. Colours that are excluded from the exterior masonry finish are…. Available in 5 litre cans only.
Limewash is suitable for interior walls and ceilings and external walls. It is ready to use from the tin. Farrow & Ball limewash is available in white and….. Available in 5 litre cans only.

For sympathetic decorating of historic and traditional properties our specialist finishes are the essential ingredient for creating an authentic look. These finishes are made to order using traditional and natural ingredients and are non-returnable.
Casein Distemper is a wipeable strengthened distemper with added casein. Suitable for interior plaster walls and ceilings, it has excellent coverage and breathes well. Available in 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Soft Distemper is a traditional distemper bound with natural resins to create a very flat powdery finish. It allows ceilings to breathe and can also be used on fine plasterwork to enhance detailing. Available in these whites only…… Available in 5 litre cans only.
Limewash is suitable for interior walls and ceilings and external walls. It is ready to use from the tin. Farrow & Ball limewash is available in white and….. Available in 5 litre cans only.

Primers and Undercoats
Farrow & Ball primers and undercoats are the requisite foundations for their topcoats.
Each of the 132 colours has a specific undercoat colour that has been created to ensure you have a fortified finish that is primed for its top coat.
They are formulated with natural ingredients and pigments that enhance the topcoats.
To find the correct undercoat colour, please refer to the Farrow & Ball colour card. Farrow & Ball primer and undercoats have been updated in January 2012.
Wall & Ceiling Primer & Undercoat is designed for use under Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion. Using this primer will achieve an even finish for the topcoat. Available in 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Interior Wood Primer & Undercoat is for use on bare wood or previously painted wood surfaces this product helps you achieve a perfect base on which to apply Estate eggshell or Full gloss finish. Available in 750ml, 2.5 and 5 litre cans.
Exterior Wood Primer & Undercoat is for use on exterior woodwork to provide a protective, flexible and breathable foundation. Available in 750ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Metal Primer & Undercoat is a rust inhibiting primer for all bare ferrous metal surfaces. It can be used on any metal surface including gates, railings, furniture, radiators and metal downpipes. Available in 750 ml cans only.
Wood Floor Primer & Undercoat is for use on interior wooden floors before applying Floor Paint. This will give the best foundation and a longer lasting finish. Available in 750 ml and 2.5 litre cans.
Masonry & Plaster Stabilising Primer is is for use on interior and exterior masonry, rendered or plastered surfaces which are porous, chalky or slightly degraded but otherwise structurally sound. It can also be used on interior concrete floors before applying Floor Paint. Available in 5 litre cans in white only, which dries clear.
Wood Knot & Resin Blocking Primer For use on interior and exterior woodwork. It blocks resinous stains on bare hardwoods, resinous softwoods and knotty areas. It should also be used as a patch primer on wooden floors before applying Wood Floor Primer & Undercoat. Available in 750 ml and 2.5 litre cans.
